ESTIMATOR/ SYSTEM DESIGNER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the company’s line of products.
Generate proposals utilizing proposal software ensuring that margin goals are met.
Establish working relationships with suppliers, verifying pricing on a regular basis and updating in our system as needed.
Assist with the preparation of sales and delivery of proposals.
Work with sales & internal operations staff to understand processes for executing orders.
Regularly meet with management to review estimate statuses.
Manage CAD and drawings for projects.
Other duties, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

Ability to read/interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Solution oriented with the ability to think outside the box.
Must be organized with good time management skills.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possess proven analytical/problem solving solutions for the customer and the company.
Computer proficiency with MS Office
CAD Experience is a plus, but not required.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience as a technician or in sales / system design in the AV integration or Security Industry a plus.
Knowledge of Home Automation Systems - Control4, Savant, Crestron, Lutron etc.
Experience in Lighting Design / Sales
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
General understanding of low-voltage systems
Minimum 2 years of estimating, installation or a CAD related role, preferred.
